Exercises in listening, observing and stillness - composed distillations of perceived ambiances. Neil Stringfellow's Cloudchamber release is based on notion of presence, combining concrete sounds with sympathetic nudges of sound sculpting.

In the artist's own words:

"The tracks presented on this tape started out as field recordings made in a modern concrete carpark, I would sit and record short 10 minute sections either before and just after work. It began as a way to clear my head before and after my day job. I liked the strange acoustics in the carpark and thought nothing more but began to enjoy these short moments of mindful recording. Over time I began to develop these field sounds, adding music and texture over many months until they became these finished tracks. " -- Audio Obscura (Neil Stringfellow)

“The Life Electronic” is filled with interesting electronic tracks with great detail and a sense of playfulness. The playfulness is not naive though, but instead with a sense of great knowledge of all the elements of electronic music at Audio Obscura’s disposal. Too complex and textured for any dance floor, but perfect for listening for all the visual texture. This just might be my favorite Audio Obscura release. Highly recommended for adventurous electronic music listeners Mood Exhibit
