Dave Aftandilian I love how each track subtly thickens as it progresses, giving the listener a feeling for the crushing weight and immense pressures building within the Earth that trigger the volcanic formations that provide this project’s inspiration. A mesmerizing feeling of simmering, hushed menace permeates this release, ebbing and flowing, shining and darkening, yet never disappearing, until the moment for which the Earth has been holding her breath finally arrives.
